MPD officers called to Ridgeway High School

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis police officers were at Ridgeway High School on Thursday morning to speak with students about a fight that happened on Wednesday, according to Shelby County Schools. There were concerns of possible retaliation.

According to SCS, no weapons were found on campus.

WMC Action News 5 crews on the scene did not see any police at the school at noon.

While SCS says the fight happened on Wednesday night, MPD says a fight happened Thursday morning that sent one student to the hospital in non-critical condition. WMC Action News 5 has asked for clarification on when the fight happened, and if there were actually two fights at the school.
