School districts, businesses, and organizations are already beginning to report closures for Tuesday, February 17.

Shelby County Schools, Arlington Community Schools, Bartlett City Schools, Collierville Schools, DeSoto County Schools, Lakeland School System, and Fayette County Schools are just a few of the school systems closed Tuesday.

Students may be happy about snow days but not all parents are.

"For people who work, it's not good," Jaohna Smith said. "If you work and you get off at 4 or 5, you cannot leave and go pick up your kids"

Lakeland Superintendent Ted Horrell says his school system doesn't shut its door unless it must. He says driving conditions are the primary factor.

"Can the buses get there? Can the cars get there? Can our employees get there, and can they get there safely?" Horrell said, explaining that several municipal superintendents talk about weather conditions before making a final decision.
