Leak shuts down Roadhouse Casino; guests not notified

The Roadhouse Casino closed Monday because of a leak in the hull of the barge.

Guests arriving at the casino were surprised.

"I wish I would have known, that way I would have made different reservations," said one guest who arrived from Little Rock. "I don't know if it is snow storm or ice storm."

The casino is not lit up like it usually is, and you can't tell there is a problem until you try to walk inside. But if you walk around to the side of the casino, you see two hoses coming from inside the building pumping water out.

It is not clear if the closure is weather related.

A spokesperson for Roadhouse said for the safety and security of our patrons the casino floor, was closed until the leak can be repaired. They expect to re-open in 24 hours.

Interstate 69 to get to Tunica is not in good shape, and there is ice on much of it. In DeSoto County, Goodman Road is passable and people don't seem to be having much trouble. However, there are icy patches.
