Two women arrested after fight in Walgreen's parking lot

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Two women are charged with simple assault after police say they beat up another woman in a Walgreen's parking lot.

"That's kind of shocking that it would happen that close to campus," said UT Memphis medical student Kyle White.

According to police, Erica Perkins and Ashley Neal started arguing with the other woman, who appears to be a Walgreen's employee. It is unclear what the argument was about, but the three women were escorted out of the store.

That's when the fight started. The victim said that Neal and Perkins grabbed her and started punching her in the head, face, and body. Neal then dragged her across the parking lot by her hair.

WMC Action News 5's Janice Broach found a chunk of hair in the Walgreen's parking lot.

Police will not release Walgreen's surveillance video because they say it is evidence.
