TUNICA CO., MS (WMC) - Snow was a sure bet in Mississippi Wednesday. In some counties, several inches accumulated by early evening.
Tunica County casinos were covered in a winter wonderland.
Memphian Mark Holliman and his son Brock didn't let the winter weather get them down. They had a lot of fun playing in the snow.
Brock attacked his dad with snowballs but missed all three times.
"I like that, because it's been a while since I've had a snowball," said Holliman.
Holliman and his son drove down to Tunica to see the snow.
Further south on Highway 61, snow blanketed Clarksdale by mid-afternoon.
Workers shoveled gravel onto roadways to try and give drivers more traction. Although, it was too late for some drivers.
"Roads been kind of bad," Tunica resident Jones Darby said. "They need to do a little work on them in this part of Mississippi."
All in all, Mississippians seem to be handling this winter weather pretty well by playing in the snow and making the most of it.
