HORN LAKE, MS (WMC) - WMC Action News 5 anchors Joe Birch and Kendall Kirkham practiced their dancing skills for weeks, all for a good cause.

Thursday night's "Dancing for our Stars" event at First Choice Catering in Horn Lake, Mississippi, was sold out.

Joe's partner was Paula Wyatt, a family friend who invited him to join her for the fundraiser. They did the waltz to "Strangers In the Night."

Kendall and her partner, former WMC Business Manager Jim Frommell, tore up the dance floor with their moves to "Uptown Funk" and took home the Crowd Pleaser Award for their performance.

The dancers, and their generous sponsors, raised $23,000 for The Baddour Center.

It was a fun, first-time fundraiser for Baddour, a residential community for adults with intellectual disabilities in Senatobia, MS.
