MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Winter weather might be heading back to the Mid-South and Memphians are stocking up on supplies just in case they get snowed in.

Shopper Andrew Brooks says he isn't going to go hungry if bad weather leaves him homebound.

"I'm trying to cook two meals for two days. I'm trying to come get a little stuff I really need," said Brooks.

Other shoppers at Cash Saver went for the usual bread and milk to go along with their other items.

Cash Saver is ready with plenty of everything, including bread and milk. Shoppers and store employees say it might be time for a break.

Assistant Manager Taylor James is tired of the wintry weather.

"Personally yes. You do get a little extra business off of it. But I think we're ready for some nice warm weather," said James.

Road crews are already on alert. The Shelby County Office of Preparedness will be monitoring the weather on Wednesday.

Despite previous weeks of ice and snow, there are plenty of supplies, such as salt and brine, if the roads slick up.

Nobody wants to see the return of that kind of weather.

"It weighs on you but it's the work of forces beyond me, so I'm trying to cope with it," said shopper Bo Johnson.
