Teen shot multiple times at N. Memphis apartment complex

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Memphis police and firefighters were called to the Appletree Apartments where a teenager was shot multiple times. An ambulance was requested.

The shooting happened in the 1700 block of Dupont Avenue just after 2 p.m.

Witnesses say the 18-year-old victim was walking down the street when someone jumped out of the bushes and shot him in the leg.

Neighbors say the teenager was quiet and very nice.

According to witnesses, they saw two people running after the shooting happened.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
