MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Rocks hurled at a school bus along Southern Avenue in Memphis was not an isolated attack.

Some fear the next victim could get seriously injured.

The passenger window of Norman Smith's Coca-Cola delivery truck was shattered as he drove along the railroad tracks near Southern Avenue and McLean.

"I didn't know if I got shot, or what," said Smith. "I heard a noise and felt something hit my face."

Smith later found glass inside his ear, and a rock on his dash.

"I could have swerved over and hit the car next to me," said Smith.

Smith wanted to share his concerns after seeing the story about a school bus struck by rocks.

One of the rocks crashed through a bus window and sent shards of glass into student Cameron Carroll's face.

"At first I thought there was glass going through my eye, but it was just pain," said Carroll. "And my face started bleeding."

Memphis police responded to at least three other incidents in the last two weeks along the same stretch of Southern. Drivers describe children throwing rocks in all of them.

"I think they're juvenile delinquents, and they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law," added Smith.

Smith also believes their parents should pay for repairing the broken windows when or if the rock throwers are found.

Some children in the neighborhood expressed that they knew who's been throwing rocks. However, they didn't want to rat them out.
