Murder suspects' vehicle captured in surveillance footage

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Memphis police officers are searching for the men who were seen leaving an apartment complex after a man was shot dead.

Just before 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, police were called to Todd's Creek Apartments on Northside Drive where Sherrod Smith was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men were captured on surveillance video leaving the area in a white car with dark tinted windows.

The video seen in the surveillance footage is a late 1990 or early 2000 model white car. If you can help identify the owner of the vehicle or if you have any information about the crime, call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
