MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Luis Zamora said he just wanted to play soccer with his two-year-old daughter in a park at Macon Road and Dyer Place near his home.

“Trying to have some fun with my child," Zamora explained. "She likes playing soccer ball.”

Zamora says a man came up to him Monday afternoon and accused him of jumping his fence.

“I said, 'No I'm playing with my child,'” Zamora recalled.

Other children in the park also told the man, Yeurys Jimenez, that Zamora did not jump the fence. Jimenez's fence backs up to the park.

Zamora said Jimenez didn't seem to care what he said. “He was like, 'I want to fight,'" Zamora recalled.

Zamora said Jimenez started reaching in his pocket.

“When he put his hand in his pocket, I thought maybe he gonna grab a pocket knife.”

Police say Jimenez had a gun. Zamora got scared and he and his daughter ran to their nearby home, where he called 911.

Police arrested Jimenez and charged him with two counts of aggravated assault.
