MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Three suspects were arrested in connection with an ongoing theft investigation.

David Corona had an outstanding felony arrest warrant for two counts of property theft ranging from $10,000 to $60,000, and evading arrest.

On Thursday, Shelby County Sheriff Detectives found Corona's friend, Anna Peters, at Value Inn on Shelby Oaks who agreed to help locate him since she was worried about him. Peters let officers use her phone to send messages to Corona's Facebook account.

Corona responded and said he wanted to meet at Cherokee Park on Lamar, and that he would turn himself in afterward.

While on the scene, detectives learned that Peters was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze that was reported stolen on March 16. The vehicle was recovered and towed.

Shelby County Sheriff Detectives went to Cherokee Park and found Corona's 14-year-old sister Makayla Diamonte, 15-year-old Alexandria Fields and 38-year-old Stacy Gore, who all knew detectives were attempting to arrest Corona.

The trio had Corona's phone and said they were using the phone pretending to be him.

Diamonte told detectives that she got Corona's phone from one of his associates the day of the incident after the crimes were committed.

Gore told detectives that she knew the girls were acting as Corona in order to lure Peters to the location so they could retrieve possessions from her.

All three were arrested and charged with two counts of property theft and evading arrest.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, three stolen vehicles valued at $119,000 were recovered and there were six felony arrests.
