MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Thursday's basketball game at Cherokee Park near Lamar was unusual for bystanders. They didn't realize they were witnessing the arrest of 38-year-old Stacey Gore.

"It was police and sheriff's cars and I turned around and I seen this blonde girl," said witness Kennan Rucker. "She was coming out of the bushes."

Officers were searching for suspect Donavin Carona.

Detectives found Carona's friend and used her phone to send messages to Carona's Facebook account. Officers got a response saying Carona wanted to meet at Cherokee Park and that he would turn himself in later.

When detectives got to the park, they found Carona's 14-year-old sister, a 15-year-old friend and Gore.

The trio told investigators they were pretending to be Carona to lure his friend to the park to retrieve some property.

All three were arrested.

The incident began Wednesday when investigators spotted a stolen pickup truck. Detectives followed it along with another stolen car to a McDonald's where William Faulkner and Khalil Curtis were arrested.

Carona ran away and dumped the stolen Camaro he was driving near 385 and Winchester. From there, he ran into the woods and has not been seen.
