A man was arrested after police say he was driving drunk with a two-year-old child in the front seat.
Friday night, police say they found a red pickup truck in the parking lot of the Piccadilly Restaurant at 4900 Stage Road after the business had closed. The keys were in the ignition and the car was running.
Officers found 23-year-old Marvaknellio Linson slouched over and unresponsive in the driver's seat and the toddler in the passenger seat. The officers said they had trouble waking Linson, but smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from his body. They also found an open bottle of Paul Masson liquor in plain view in the front seat.
Once they woke him up, officers arrested Linson and contacted the Department of Children's Services. The child was later released to his mother.
Linson is charged with driving with a suspended, revoked, or canceled license; endangering a child under 18, and driving under the influence.
