Memphis police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a clothing store.

Police identified 31-year-old Melvin Martin as the man captured on surveillance video during a robbery Wednesday morning at the Village Mart in the 4000 block of Elvis Presley Boulevard.

According to police, the Village Mart manager told officers that when they arrived at work Wednesday morning, they found a large hole cut in the ceiling.

Police say that when employees walked into the storage room, they found that 64 pairs of Robin Jeans and 10 pairs of Robin Shoes were missing.

Officers then spoke with a witness who said a man was standing on the roof of the Village Mart around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. When the witness and the suspect made eye contact, the suspect jumped off the roof holding an ax.

Police issued a warrant for Martin. He's wanted on a charge of theft of property from a business $10,000-$60,000.
