Three hospitalized after early morning South Memphis shooting

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Police responded to a shooting in South Memphis early Sunday morning.

According to police, around 1:30 a.m., officers arrived on the scene in the 4000 block of Wesley Forrest Circle South, where they found two men, 24 and 19 years old respectively, with multiple gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say another 24-year-old man was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition from the location in a private car.

According to police, their preliminary investigation revealed that a 19-year-old man confronted the victims about an ongoing issue, and then a gunfight occurred between the victims and the suspect.

No charges have been filed yet.
