HUMBOLDT, TN (WMC) -

A man now faces federal charges for shooting a woman while trying to rob a bank in Humboldt, Tennessee.

Around 7 a.m. on March 18, investigators say Dominic Williams, 39, ambushed a bank employee at her home, drove her to BancorpSouth, and shot her when she failed to open the bank's vault.

Williams is accused of shooting Janeice Frisbee. She went to the hospital in a helicopter, but has since been released and is expected to fully recover.

Williams is scheduled for a hearing at 10 a.m. Tuesday. If he is convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in federal prison.
