MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

From inside the car, Alexandria Lane could see her mother recording something on her phone.

"She's always recording something, and I'm always like 'Leave people alone,'" Lane said. "I just thought that she should leave them alone. But I thought it was good to have some positive in the community and show the police doing a good deed."

The good deed came from two Memphis police officers.

In February, during one of our many winter storms, two officers got out of their patrol car and helped push a car to a gas station.

"I'm so proud of y'all," Alexandria's mother, Sonya Israel, said in the video. "I'm so proud of y'all. This is awesome. This is amazing."

The officers are shy in the video, hesitant to take credit for their good deed.

The video was shared on Israel's Facebook pages and has gone viral.

And now Lane has a message for the officers involved.

"Thank you for being a positive light in the community, and thank you for not being scared to let us show that you were doing a positive deed."
