MARSHALL CO., MS (WMC) -

Prosecutors charged Marshall County parents in the death of their 2-month-old daughter, Harmony Crenshaw.

Jeremiah Crenshaw, 22, and 20-year-old Monica Euell are charged with capital murder and felony child abuse.

According to court documents, the couple lives in the 900 block of Mount Pleasant Road in Marshall County, Mississippi.

The couple took Harmony to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital last week following an altercation at their home. The infant died Saturday.

But investigators say the couple's story about what happened doesn't match the baby's injuries.

The Marshall County Coroner confirmed Harmony's cause of death as blunt force trauma. He ruled the death a homicide, after finding bruises on the baby's arms and chest.

Neighbors didn't want to comment on camera, but they say they're shocked to hear the news, and wondered why they hadn't seen the couple in a week.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate what lead up to the child's death.

Both Crenshaw and Euell are in jail on $1.5 million bond.
