A Better Mid-South: Domestic violence

Editorial by WMC Action News 5 General Manager Tracey Rogers:

For the second time in a week, the Mid-South lost a woman to domestic violence at her workplace.

The killers were both men, who I'm sure at some point professed their love for these women. Please know, if anyone threatens your life in any way and then tells you they love you -- that is not real love.

I understand the vicious cycle of domestic violence. I know how it happens.

I am begging you... if you are in this situation, get help. Tell someone. Tell a family member, a co-worker, a friend, a church member. Don't live in fear and silence.

If you suspect someone if living with domestic violence, do something.

Go to my Facebook page, A Better Mid-South, for information about help with domestic violence in the Mid-South.

I want you to feel empowered to get out. Let's all do what we can to rid the Mid-South of domestic violence and make this A Better Mid-South.
