MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The murder of a Germantown woman at the hands of her estranged husband will be featured on Friday night's episode of Dateline NBC.

In March, Chris Jones was sentenced to life in prison for killing his wife, Heather Palumbo-Jones.

Palumbo-Jones was reported missing on Monday, April 15, 2013 when she didn't report to work at Frayser Achievement School. Her body was found burned, wrapped up in an air mattress, and tied with rope about two weeks later, on April 23, in an area near Collierville-Arlington Road.

Palumbo-Jones was a school teacher in Memphis. Her friends say Chris Jones was addicted and dependent on his wife, who filed for divorce.

Jones did not take the stand to defend himself during the trial. A jury took nine hours to find him guilty of first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse.

The case will be featured Friday on Dateline NBC beginning at 8 p.m. on WMC Action News 5.
