SOUTHAVEN, MS (WMC) -

A Southaven, Mississippi classic car cruise-in turned dangerous when an out-of-control truck tire went careening through the crowd Saturday night.

A truck owned by a high school boy was traveling south on Getwell Road around 7 p.m., when its front left tire came off.

The tire bounced and rolled across two lanes of the road without hitting anyone. It then hit and destroyed a Zaxby's sign. Next, the tire landed on a Lexus parked at the Dairy Queen. It shattered the Lexus' rear window and bounced off.

The tire continued its path through the classic car cruise-in happening in the parking lot hitting Walt Whaley's restored 1955 Cadillac Coup DeVille, before it finally stopped.

There were about 100 people in the parking lot when this happened. No one was injured.

Witnesses say it's a miracle the tire didn't hit anyone. They also said the tire was so big and rolling so fast it would have killed anyone in its path.
