Man wanted for Memphis murder arrested in Arkansas

ST. FRANCIS CO., AR (WMC) -

St. Francis County deputies caught a man wanted for first-degree murder in Memphis.

According to Memphis police, 28-year-old David Catterton was wanted for a shooting on March 5 on Scenic Highway.  John Belder, 40, was shot and later died during the incident.

Catterton was picked up by deputies in Forrest City, Arkansas at a recycling company. Investigators say he was in a car stolen from Germantown on March 2, 2015.

People in a home previously listed as Catterton's address asked WMC Action News 5 whether he had been caught. They said he stole a gun from a home and is suspected of killing another man. They then ran from the house.

It is unknown when Catterton will be extradited to Memphis.
