MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The man arrested after crashing his car into a church, admitted to police he took an "unknown pill" he reportedly got from his cousin before the crash, which killed two people.

Terryell Scott, 27, is facing a number of charges including two counts of vehicular homicide after police say he crashed his car into N-Sight Christian Church on Chelsea Avenue, killing passengers Marcus Walton and Dontae Coleman.

Witnesses say Scott was speeding and driving erratically before the accident.

He was taken to Regional Medical Center where he told officers he didn't remember what happened, only waking up in the hospital, according to the affidavit.

Scott also told officers he was not drinking.

WMC Action News 5 investigators learned Scott had a revoked license at the time of the crash and did not have insurance.

He's also facing driving under the influence and public intoxication charges.

WMC Action News 5 checked to see if Scott was still listed as a patient at the hospital, but were told by supervisors that he is now in custody and that information can't be released.

He is due in court at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
