MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Three people are charged with robbing a Memphis gas station and leading police on a chase.

Amy Larck and Archie Champion are both charged with aggravated robbery.

The affidavit says, the duo stole four cases of beer from the Exxon on Sycamore View Road while another man, Benjamin Batts, held the clerk at knifepoint.

Police say the trio's getaway car then nearly rammed a Shelby County sheriff deputy's car while trying to escape.

After a short pursuit, the suspects stopped on I-240 at Summer Avenue.

Police say Batts refused to comply with officers' commands and was bitten by a K-9 officer. He's recovering in the hospital.

Larck and Champion are both due in court Wednesday.
