A DeSoto County woman facing DUI charges in a deadly wrong-way crash on Thanksgiving faces another DUI charge after she was arrested Tuesday.

Diana Anderson was out on bond when DeSoto County deputies pulled her over for a traffic stop.

Deputies suspected she was driving under the influence at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday. Also in the car were her three children, all of whom were supposed to be in school a few hours later.

"She could have killed the kids," neighbor Debbie Currie said.

Currie remembered another crash with which Anderson is charged. Hai Thi Lam was killed in a crash on I-69 in DeSoto County, Mississippi when Anderson hit Lam's vehicle head on. Lam's husband was also in the car; he survived.

"She shouldn't have been out of jail from November," Currie said. "She killed someone. She should never have been out of jail, not without supervised detox."

Anderson had not been to trial yet. She was out of jail on bond and has not yet been found guilty of DUI in connection with the crash that killed Lam.

However, she will not be out of jail this time. A judge revoked her bond from the previous DUI death charge.

The neighbors who spoke with WMC Action News 5 say Anderson needs help, but they're mostly concerned about her children.

Anderson will stay in jail until her next court appearance.

Deputies cannot say much, but they do assure WMC Action News 5 that Anderson's children are in safe hands.
