Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch completed 18 of 23 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Memphis offense to a 41-29 victory in the Friday Night Stripes Spring game.
Lynch was named the Jeremy Williams Award winner as most outstanding player during spring practice for his efforts.
Wide receivers Anthony Miller, Greg McKillion, and Phil Mayhue all caught touchdown passes, while runningback Jarvis Cooper caught a 54-yard touchdown pass from Lynch and runningback Tearris Wallace broke a 41 yard touchdown run.The defense was led by Ernest Suttles, who returned a fumble for a 47-yard touchdown.
The Tigers are coming off a 10-3 season in which they won the American Athletic Conference, and the inaugural Miami Beach Bowl.
