TIPTON COUNTY, TN (WMC) -

Tipton County authorities say they found Heather Renner, 24, alive in Tipton County Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency medical crews checked her out to make sure she was okay. She spent more than 24 hours out in the elements.

Renner was last seen Tuesday.

Renner's father, Sean Renner, was relieved to learn that his daughter is OK.

"I'm very happy. I'm very happy," Sean Renner said. "I didn't think that she would be found."

The Sheriff's office says Renner's 4-year-old son was found in an abandoned car Tuesday evening, parked in the middle of Hilltop Lane in Millington around 6 p.m. Renner's purse and cell phone were found in the vehicle.

According to a witness, Renner's vehicle had been parked in the road since just before noon Tuesday. The witness told deputies that a woman had been walking barefoot in the area and may have left in a different vehicle.

The Memphis Police Department Aviation Unit searched alongside deputies and detectives through the night Tuesday, following leads on the location of Renner.

"I'm sure she was terrified all night," Sean Renner added. "I'm just glad that she's safe. That's all I can say about it."

The boy appeared to be unharmed but was taken to Baptist Memorial Tipton Hospital.

The child was released to family members Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, Sean Renner wants to know what happened to his daughter. He says she has never disappeared before.

Tipton County authorities even called the case bizarre as they continued to investigate.

"It's like she disappeared off the face of the Earth, leaving the car," Tipton County Chief Donna Turner said. "Her purse was there, her money was there, which rules out robbery."

As the family waits for answers, they're just happy everyone is okay.

"There is a God," Sean Renner said. "God is alive. That's all I'll say."
