The newest members of a Tennessee court have four legs.

Wednesday, five dogs were sworn in for duty in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The dogs will be on hand to work with vulnerable children who have to come to court.

The pups are trained to not interfere with court proceedings.

"Many of our children are victims of post traumatic stress disorder, and a lot of them have been through really bad times," Judge Tim Irwin said. "We hope that seeing these sweet dogs when they come to court will brighten their day and make our job a little easier."

Judge Irwin also swore in human helpers. The volunteers will advocate for children in the court system.
