MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The search is on for a man who beat a woman, sexually assaulted her, and then took off in her car.

The 25-year-old woman told investigators she was sitting in her 1998 Nissan Maxima in the 4000 block of Watermill Drive on Tuesday when a man broke out her window. She said the man then took over her car and drove to the area of Auburn Road and Craft Road where he raped her.

According to investigators, the victim was able to get away and went to the 3000 block of Wood Glade Lane for help.

She described the suspect as about 20 to 25 years old with a stocky build, low haircut, and he was wearing a blue hoodie and black pants.

The woman's stolen vehicle is a white, four-door, 1998 Nissan Maxima with Tennessee tag number S7116D.

Bridgett Williams says her 14-year-old son was on their front porch Tuesday morning when he saw the victim, who had escaped her attacker.

"He comes back in the house and said, 'Mom, there's blood everywhere. You have to come," Williams recalled. "There's this lady, standing on our porch and she's bleeding everywhere."

Williams called police after hearing what the victim said happened to her.

"They apparently assaulted her with a crowbar, then put her in the trunk, then drove her over here," Williams said.

"He needs to go to jail and I mean, someone needs to do him like that," said Clintina Fifer, who lives nearby. "Drag him down the street, rape him, and he'll see how it feels."

"I'm praying for both of them. We are a praying family, so we are praying for both of them," Williams added.
