MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

One by one, family and friends looked at a sight almost too hard to see -- a little girl in a little casket.

Hundreds of family members and friends attended the visitation of 7-year-old Kirsten Williams on Friday. Her funeral is set to take place at Soul Winners Baptist Church on Saturday morning.

"She may have been 7, but she has a very lively, vivid imagination," said family friend Pamela Stone.

Another family friend, Bobbie Lewis, says her heart broke when she learned a drive-by shooting killed her co-worker's daughter on April 10.

"It needs to stop, the violence needs to stop," Lewis said.

What hurt Stokes even more was learning that her 15-year-old neighbor, Cateria Stokes, died the same day after a different drive-by shooting.

"It's sad you can't play in your backyard no more," added Lewis. "Can't sleep in your own bed."

Stone says these are tough times for the family as they try to hold things together.

"It's hard for them, very hard."
