MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -
What all Grizzlies fans have been dying to hear, 'I plan to play on Sunday.'
That's the word from both the Memphis Grizzlies Mike Conley and Tony Allen on Saturday.
The guys went through their first full practice with the team Friday, and even through they're still officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game 1 against the Blazers, Allen and Conley made it very clear, they plan to suit up and play.
It won't, however, be without a little discomfort.
Conley says he's still working through the pain of that sprained foot, and Allen says he won't be 100 percent, but knows he'll have to listen to his body and know his limits.
Conley saying, "Even in practice coach didn't expect me to do as much as I was out there doing. I was trying to so every drill, every play. And he's over there trying to tell me to sit down and get some rest. And I'm like no man, I'm trying to get as much in as I can."
Allen adding, "I'm fighting thru it. I don't think I'll be 100% in this playoffs, but the effort will be there. And the will. Banking on adrenaline from the fans to loosen me up. And I'm fighting thru it."
On the Blazers side, guard Arron Afflalo is doubtful with a shoulder injury, forward Alonzo Gee is questionable with a foot.
Nicolas Batam, C.J. McCollum and Chris Kaman are all probable for game 1.
