MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Here is a quick outline of the severe potential for Sunday evening.

- Time Frame 6 PM to Midnight

- Main threat is damaging wind up to 60 mph

- Hail Threat: up to quarter size with any storm

-Tornado Threat: Low but not zero. Could see a short-lived tornado.

- This is not a widespread, high-end threat. Not every area or town will see severe storms. Some may only see some heavy rain or thunder.

A cold front will move from west to east across the area tonight triggering more rain and thunderstorms. Some storms may reach severe limits producing damaging wind and hail with a small potential for a tornado.

The highest risk for damaging wind is in eastern Arkansas into northwest Mississippi. There is not a high risk for widespread severe weather, so not everyone will see severe storms.

We just want to make sure everyone is aware of the potential and has a way to get warnings in case they are issued. Click here to download the Stormtrack 5 weather app, so that you are prepared in the case of severe weather.
