Teenage mob vandalizes cars on Madison Avenue

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Police are searching for a large group of teenagers accused of destroying two cars Friday night.

According to police, a cook at the P&H Cafe on Madison Avenue told officers that a group of 25 to 30 teenagers left The Renaissance Club in the 1500 block of Madison around 11:30 p.m. Then, the teens started jumping and climbing on cars parked along the street.

Police say that the teens vandalized two vehicles, a silver Hyundai and a gray Honda as they made their way down the street. The roof of the Honda was caved in, and the back windows of both cars were smashed.

The owners of both cars told police nothing had been stolen from their vehicles.
