Federal jury deliberates in Logan Young trial

This morning a federal jury started its deliberations in the Logan Young recruiting scandal case.

Wealthy businessman Logan Young is on trial and charged with bribing a high school coach to get a top football recruit to go to University of Alabama.

During closing arguments yesterday, Young's attorney said prosecutors had not proven their case.

He said there was no proof that Young paid former Trezevant High coach Lynn Lang $150-thousand to steer player Albert Means to Alabama.

The prosecution countered, saying Lang's bank account grew substantially just days after Young's bank account recorded sizeable withdrawals.
