JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A Jonesboro woman was charged with DWI-drugs Tuesday after she told police she had been huffing air duster just minutes before crashing into a tree.

The crash happened at 9:55 a.m. at the intersection of Nisbett and West Cherry, according to the initial incident report.

Tracy Milligan, 41, of Jonesboro was southbound on Nisbett when her 1996 Cadillac DeVille drove through the intersection, leaving the roadway. The car struck a tree before coming to rest on top of a chain link fence.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found Milligan slumped over in the driver's seat.

“Her breathing was labored with only a deep inhale every few seconds,” Officer Steve Richardson reported. “So, I called for EMS.”

Richardson then said he noticed “some type of inhaler in one of her hands” which, according to his report, was a can of air duster.

While trying to rouse Milligan, the officer said she “sat up, sprayed the can into her face and inhaled deeply before falling back over.”

Once she was conscious enough to speak with police, Milligan reportedly said that “minutes before the accident she stopped at the store and bought a can of air duster and began inhaling it.”

She also told officers she did not remember the crash.

After determining Milligan was uninjured, officers charged her with DWI-drugs; breathing, inhaling or drinking certain intoxicating compounds; hazardous driving; and driving while license canceled, suspended or revoked.

According to Jonesboro Police Department records, Milligan has been arrested 11 times in the past 2 years on various charges including shoplifting, criminal mischief, and possession of a controlled substance.
