MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Three Memphis sisters escaped serious injury when their car crashed through a brick wall and ended up inside a building.

WMC Action News 5's crew on the scene found a car that had driven through a Jackson Hewitt Tax Service at Horn Lake Road and Shelby Drive.

According to police, a champagne colored-SUV hit the side of the car, spinning it and sending it into the building. The driver tried to stop, but couldn't and crashed through the brick wall.

Leonia Taylor was driving her father's Impala with her two sisters when they say a man in the SUV clipped them in traffic and sped away from the scene.

“He just hit the side of the car and the car lost control and it was just spinning and it didn't stop until it went inside the building," said passenger Tamisha Houston.

Fortunately, no one was inside the building when the car came through.

Tax company employees started cleaning up outside soon after the Impala was pulled from the building.

The sisters were simply thankful that they were able to escape with only a few cuts and scrapes.
