MPD and SCSO investigate two late night shootings

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Two late night shootings are under investigation.

The first shooting happened in the Highland Heights area just before 2 a.m. Friday.

A man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in a driveway in the 3300 block of Coleman Avenue.

Investigators say they're still working to find out what led up to the shooting, but do confirm they are currently searching for two possible gunmen.

A neighbor on the scene says she heard the gunshots and saw two men run away.

She described one gunman as being about 6 feet tall and 215 pounds. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black jeans, black shoes, and had a dark complexion. She said the other gunmen had on a white t-shirt with a black shirt pulled up, dark jeans, black shoes, and light complexion.

The second shooting happened late Thursday night in the 7900 block of E. Shelby Drive.

A man was found lying on the ground outside of the Zorro Market by a customer, who called police. 

The victim, who was an employee at the market, had been shot twice and was pronounced dead at the scene.
