Man accused of DUI, child endangerment

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A man faces several charges after he was accused of driving drunk with his young daughter in the car.

According to police, Eric Garcia, 27, drove his car through a yard and rammed into a parked car in the 4400 block of Elliston Road Saturday night.

Police say Garcia swayed when he walked, smelled of alcohol, and cursed at neighbors as officers arrested him.

The 3-year-old girl was not injured and she was returned to her mother.

Garcia is charged with two counts of driving on a suspended license, DUI with child endangerment, improper turns, public intoxication, reckless driving, refusal to submit to a BAC test, and violation of financial law.

He is in jail on a $3,500 bond and will appear in court Monday.
