A Better Mid-South: Love one another despite your differences

Editorial written by WMC Action News 5 General Manager Tracey Rogers:

Dylann Roof is now charged with nine counts of murder after shooting and killing nine African-American people in a downtown Charleston church.

I read a report that Roof told officers he wanted to "start a race war."

I am so incredibly proud to say Roof's horrendous acts of evil have instead started an avalanche of love.

In the midst of all this heartbreak across our country, it has been so encouraging to see people from all walks of life coming together to love one another.

Black, white, young, old, man, woman, and child are joining hands, praying for, and lifting up our brothers and sisters in Charleston, South Carolina.

We are proving Dylann Roof, and others who hate, wrong.

Let's keep the wave going. Come together and love one another despite our differences, and we will make this a better world, a better country, and A Better Mid-South.
