Collierville product Nikki McCray-Penson has won just about every award during her impressive basketball career. Now she can add the High School Hall of Fame to her resume.
McCray-Penson, the leading scorer and rebounder in Tennessee five-girl basketball history, is among 12 set to be inducted in the ceremony next month.
The former Parade All-American, USA Today All-American, and Naismith Player of the year in 1990 scored nearly 36-hundred points during her four-year career at Collierville, including a 33.6 average as a senior.
Her career records for rebounds and field goals, made and attempted, still stands 25 years later.
Following her stellar high school career, McCray was a two-time Kodak All-American and two-time Naismith All-American at Tennessee, and inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.
The Hall of Fame ceremony is set for July 2nd in New Orleans.
