Take him: Kosta Koufos is almost certainly leaving and the Grizzlies have a big hole at backup Center. Dakari Johnson is a young, huge post player who could develop into a solid presence both offensively and defensively. He's athletic and gets good positioning.

Don't take him: Not a terrific defender, and with how raw he is, would be a significant step down from Koufos within the Grizzlies perceived title window. Athletic, but not explosive, which hurts him as a help-side rotation defender. Not very much playing experience in college, played behind lots of more talented players at Kentucky.

Notes: Worked out with the Grizzlies and heavily praised by Grizz GM Chris Wallace. The team took Johnson out to dinner the night before the workout.
