Police investigate two shootings that happened Friday night

Memphis police are investigating two shootings that happened late Friday night.

The first shooting happened in the 3600 block of Ladue Street.

Officers located 2 men with gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to Regional Medical Center. The first victim was taken in critical condition. The second was taken in non-critical condition.

Witnesses say that a small gray vehicle was seen driving away after the shootings.

The second shooting happened in the 4600 block of American Way near Perkins Road.

According to witnesses, people were leaving a club when shots were fired from a light gray Toyota occupied by an unknown man.

Two victims were shot. The first victim, Rayvn Towns, was taken to Regional Medical Center in critical condition. The second victim was treated on the scene.

Brown Baptist Pastor Bartholomew Orr says Towns was in surgery, but is now out. He says Towns was shot in a vehicle that was in the middle of a large crowd.

Pastor Orr says the vehicle Towns was in was riddled with bullets and she got out and ran to safety. When she got to a gas station on the corner of Perkins and American Way, she realized she was shot twice.

Orr says Towns is a terrific girl and a faithful member of the church.

Police have not located the Toyota.
