Those are strong words from an Arkansas lawmaker who started a petition to stop the closure of the I-55 Bridge. TDOT plans to shut down the bridge for 9 months...The latest details this morning on WMC Action News 5.

We'll know more today about the ongoing benefits battle between the City of Memphis and the Memphis Police Association. This morning, the MPA will hold a news conference to address the union's contract negotiations and the actions of the City Council during impasse. We're talking about that this morning.

Today, Memphis International Airport will officially launch new, non-stop flights from the Bluff City to Indianapolis.. One-Jet is the airline offering the service which could one day soon add non-stop flights to Pittsburgh. Details on the added service on WMC Action News 5.

Four of B. B. King's daughters are expected in a Las Vegas courtroom today. They are raising the possibility of a second will and accusing the blues legends' longtime business manager of stealing and endangering their father's health.

We're also following breaking news from overnight..There has been a possible shooting at a Memphis motel. The Quality Inn on Thousand Oaks Cove is where police responded to reports that someone may have been shot inside one of the rooms.
