MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Despite a continuing Heat Advisory in the Mid-South, outdoor activities continue.

Memphis Redbirds will be in action Wednesday against Nashville Sounds at AutoZone Park. First pitch is set for 11:35 a.m.

If you're going, expect to deal with heat. Make sure you drink plenty of water, wear loose fitting clothes, and put on sunscreen regularly.

At noon, the temperature will already be in the 90s, and it will continue to climb. Click here to see Meteorologist Andrew Kozak's Wednesday forecast.

Tuesday, the City of Memphis implemented heat protocols when the heat index rose above 100 degrees.

The City urges citizens to escape extreme temperatures by visiting Memphis libraries, community centers, or senior centers. If citizens need a ride to one of those facilities, they can call the Mayor's Citizens Service Center at 576-6500.
