MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The Memphis woman whose home was used as a base operation for gang activity is moving to Texas and selling her home.

Judge Larry Potter explained her family members appeared in court Wednesday and said they plan to take their mother home to San Antonio.

Investigators said members of the Grape Street Crips Gang took over the house. Police made at least 21 arrests at the house since 2009.

"She had reached the point where she could no longer control the gang members," Shelby County District Attorney Amy Weirich said.

Earlier in June, the Multi-Agency Gang Unit declared the woman's house a 'public nuisance' and shut it down. Officials placed her in a temporary shelter.

Before the arrests, neighbors were scared to walk down the street near the home, but since the arrests, neighbors said they feel a lot calmer and more optimistic.
