2 people shot near Goodlett Elementary School

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

At least two people ended up in the hospital after a shooting Wednesday night.

Memphis police said it all began blocks away from Goodlett Elementary School in the 3000 block of Watson Street.

One man was shot in the ankle and taken to Regional Medical Center. Another person was taken to Baptist East Hospital.

Shortly after that, police found shell casings along Knight Arnold Road and Ashwood Street. All three locations are less than half a mile apart.

WMC Action News 5 crews saw bullet holes in one car in the area.

Police are still investigating in an effort to determine what exactly happened and if all three locations are part of the same violence.

Police have not said if anyone is in custody or if they have any suspect descriptions.
