MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A Memphis man sighed with relief after getting his car back.

Lawson Arney took his 2010 Acura MDX to the Acura dealership on Ridgeway Road Wednesday morning. Shortly after dropping it off, he received a phone call. His car had been stolen.

Management at the dealership said while the car was in the service bay, a man hopped in and took off. Employees said they chased after the man but were unable to catch him.

Thursday morning someone called police and said an Acura similar to Arney's car was dropped off at the Jim Keras Chevrolet dealership on Covington Pike.

"I'm happy and relieved that I got my car back," Arney said.

Even though the find is a weight off his shoulders, he still has some concerns.

"We've had discussions and are considering placing some video surveillance in the drive," Acura's General Manager Greg Hapke said.

Hapke says he's doing all he can to compensate Arney, including free oil changes for life.

Meanwhile, Arney's family can rest easy.

"My wife was already picking out new cars and now she can stop looking," Arney said.

No arrests have been made at this time.
