MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -
The Memphis Grizzlies wanting outside shooting, hopefully getting it with the acquisition of forward Matt Barnes from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for guard Luke Ridnour, whom the Grizzlies just got yesterday from the Orlando Magic.
You may remember, Barnes was actually drafted by the Grizzlies in the second round back in 2002, but traded to Cleveland on draft night.
The 35-year-old Barnes spent the last three of his 12 years in the league with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he averaged 10 points, 4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 76 games last season.
He started 74 games, and set personal bests for 3-point attempts and makes last season.
