WASHINGTON (WMC) -

Elvis Presley will always be the King of Rock n' Roll, and his face will forever be enough to send a letter in the mail.

The U.S. Postal Service previewed the Music Icons: Elvis Presley Commemorative Forever stamp Thursday.

This stamp has a 1955 black-and-white image of Presley. In the bottom left corner, between the words "Forever" and "USA" is a small crown. The crown is a symbol of Presley's nickname: The King of Rock N' Roll.

Presley's signature is along the right side of the stamp in gold ink.

A photo of Presley performing, which is also the logo for the Music Icons series, will be on the reverse side of the stamp pane.

Priscilla Presley will join Postmaster General Megan Brennan in dedicating the stamp on the morning of Aug. 12 at Graceland in Memphis as part of this year’s Elvis Week celebration.

Elvis Presley left a legacy in American pop music, while inspiring thousands of rock musicians.

Nearly 40 years after Presley’s death, more than 600,000 people still visit his Graceland home in Memphis every year.
